A Life of Service

Born in 1956, Kikomeko began his early education at Galiraya Primary School. He would later dedicate most of his adult life to public service and community leadership:

  • Chairman, Health Management Committee – Galiraya Health Centre III
  • Treasurer, Kawango Cooperative Society

His leadership was grounded in compassion, fairness, and wisdom, making him a father figure not just in his home, but throughout the wider Galiraya community.

Born on 27th July 1958, Salongo David Nkubuge lived a remarkable life marked by commitment, humility, and unwavering integrity. A seasoned Mechanical Engineer, he dedicated 36 years of his life to public service at the Uganda Cooperative Transport Union (UCTU), where he left an indelible legacy of professionalism and mentorship.

Salongo David was a proud husband to six wives and a loving father to seventeen children, a family man whose dedication extended beyond his household to everyone who crossed his path. He was a man of quiet strength and steadfast faith, whose presence brought calm, wisdom, and resolve in all situations.

Work History:
From 1949 to 1986, Kibumba dedicated 35 years of his life working with the British American Tobacco (BAT) company, leaving a legacy of hard work and integrity.

Family:
He was a devoted husband to Lovisa Balabyeki and a loving father to 15 children, including:
Beautrice, Nanteza, Debotah, Rebecca, Moses, Ntebwa, Grace, Damali, Godfrey, Micheal, and the late Besi, Musisi, Babirye, and Dorothy.
He also leaves behind 30 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, whose lives he profoundly impacted.
