Celebrating the Life of Robinah Beinomugisha Karakuza

It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we share the news of the passing of our beloved mother, Robinah Beinomugisha Karakuza, who departed this life on Friday, June 12, 2026, at First Line Medical Center, Najera.

While we mourn the loss of a cherished matriarch, we also gather to celebrate the legacy of love, kindness, and strength she leaves behind. Her presence was a source of comfort to all who knew her, and her departure leaves a void that will be deeply felt by her family, friends, and the wider community.

Funeral Service and Burial Program

To honor her memory and bid her a final, dignified farewell, we invite relatives and friends to join us for the following services:

• Church Service (Kampala): A service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at St. Luke C.O.U, Ntinda, beginning at 10:00 am.
• Transport and Vigil: Following the service, the body will be transported to Mbarara, where it will remain for a night of rest.
• Church Service (Ntungamo): A subsequent church service will take place on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at MIJUMA C.O.U, Kitwe Town Council, Ntungamo District, starting at 10:00 am.

With hearts full of both sorrow and gratitude, we honor the remarkable life of Maama Nakku Alice, a devoted mother, grandmother, and pillar of her family, who was called home to the Lord on May 29, 2026. Born on June 6, 1939, to the late Semyoni Baali Musoke and the late Gayita Bukirwa, Alice’s life was a testament to love, strength, and an unwavering commitment to those she held dear.

A Legacy of Love and Strength

Maama Alice was a woman whose influence spanned generations and continents. As a devoted mother, she raised ten children: Sem C.K. Semakula, the late Vincent Tebajanga, the late Muganzi Charles, the late Ruth Namatovu, Matovu Joseph, Sseguya Michael, the late Namato Joyce, Patrick Ddiba, Nantege Mai, and Kirabila Mate Paul (Azziz). Her legacy further blossomed into a vast family tree, including over sixty-nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward her spirit.

Her journey was one of global experience. Alice lived abroad for several years, spending time in Barking, United Kingdom, between 2003 and 2012, and later residing in Boston, USA, for a decade before returning to her beloved home in Uganda. Even after suffering a stroke in 2022, which brought health challenges, she remained surrounded by the constant care and support of her loving family until her peaceful passing.

Remembering Maama Alice

Alice will be remembered as a woman of profound dedication. Her life was marked by her resilience, her gentle strength, and the deep love she poured into her large, extended family. Whether she was at home in Uganda or traveling abroad to be with family, she remained a central, unifying force for all who knew her.

As we reflect on her time with us, we find solace in the memories shared by her children, grandchildren, and friends. We honor her journey—from her birth in 1939 to her final rest—and celebrate the enduring impact she leaves behind.

Celebrating the Life of Anyango Rosalia Odongo (1947–2026)

With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Anyango Rosalia Odongo, who departed this life on May 24, 2026, at Mulago Referral Hospital. Born on September 2, 1947, in Alego, Siaya County, Kenya, she lived a life defined by resilience, grace, and an unwavering commitment to her family and faith.

A Life of Grace and Dedication

Rosalia was a woman of immense character. After losing her parents early in life, she took on the role of a parent to her siblings, demonstrating the deep maternal instincts that would guide her throughout her years. In 1969, she married Samuel Odongo in Ngero, Kumi District, and together they built a life of love. Though she faced the immense loss of her husband in 1990, Rosalia remained a tower of strength, choosing to stay in her home to raise her children rather than returning to her people in Kenya.

A dedicated educator, Rosalia served at various schools, including Rangala Girls Primary, Osia Primary in Tororo, Ulwan Primary, Amongura Primary, and Ongariam Primary. She eventually retired in 2008 and settled in Tororo Osukuru Corner, where she became a pillar of her community and a nurturing presence to her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a God-fearing woman who worked tirelessly to ensure her children were educated and well-settled.

A Beloved Family Matriarch

Rosalia leaves behind a legacy carried forward by her surviving family:

• Children: Caroline Elesu Achipa, Stella Epilu Amuge, Dorothy Oditai Amujal, Christine Alou Akayo, Emmanuel Odwesso, John Mark Jude Oluka, Joseph Odongo, Shalom Patricia Ogwal Amoding, and Monica Osudo Akol.
• Sons-in-law: Stephen Epilu, Jackson Osudo, Moses Elesu, Isaac Alou, Gerald Ogwal, and Charles Oditai.
• Wives of Sons: Jane Amase, Anne Odwesso, Caro Odongo, and Stella Odongo.
• Siblings: Auma Apolonia Olemo, Chris Odwesso Okello, Florence Odwesso Akach, Peter Odwesso Ogombe, Paul Odwesso Rodhalo, and Lucas Odwesso Obiya.
• Grandchildren: She was the proud grandmother to 46 grandchildren, including Odongo Stephen, Racheal Ayeto, Elieza Joshua Olila, and many others who held a special place in her heart.

• Church Service: Friday, May 29, 2026, at Local Christian Assembled Tororo, starting at 10:00 am.
• Burial: Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Tororo Osukuru Corner Junction, approximately 200 meters along the Busia Marram Road, beginning at 3:30 pm.

Born on 5th January 1975, Kalebi lived a life defined by the impact he made on those around him. He will be remembered not only for the years he spent with us but for the kindness, strength, and vibrant spirit he shared with everyone who knew and loved him. As the family navigates this difficult time, they draw comfort from the many memories that celebrate the life he lived so fully.

Funeral Arrangements & Final Send-off

To honor his journey and provide an opportunity for friends and well-wishers to pay their respects, the family has organized the following program:

Wednesday, 29th April 2026

Funeral Service: A service to celebrate his life will be held at Turn to Jesus Ministries – Lubowa, starting at 12:00 PM.

Departure: Following the service, the body will depart at 3:00 PM for transit to his ancestral home.

Evening Vigil: A night vigil will be held later that evening at his ancestral home in Kiwungu, Kamuli District, where the family will gather in prayer and remembrance.

Thursday, 30th April 2026

• Burial Service: The final interment will take place at his ancestral home in Kiwungu, Kamuli District.
• Time: The service will begin at 10:00 AM.

A Final Tribute

The family extends a warm invitation to all relatives, friends, and well-wishers to join them in Kiwungu as they gather to pay their final respects and lay Kalebi Christopher to his final resting place.

✞ Celebrating the Life of Kakooza Micheal (1973 – 2026)

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Kakooza Micheal, who was born on 28th February 1973 and peacefully departed this life on 2nd February 2026. His passing has left a deep void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him, yet we take comfort in the promise of eternal life through Christ.

Kakooza Micheal was the son of Paul Gawera and the late Samali Nakagulire. He hailed from Katugo Village, where his roots remained strong throughout his life. From a young age, Micheal showed dedication and discipline, values that guided him through his education and later life.

Education and Early Life
He began his primary education at Katugo Primary School and later continued his secondary studies at Katikamu SDA School. These formative years shaped his character and faith, preparing him for the responsibilities and challenges of adulthood.

A Life of Faith and Hope
Micheal lived with a deep awareness of God’s presence, drawing strength from scripture and prayer. His life echoed the words of the Bible:

“Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord… they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”

✞ Final Journey and Farewell
Family, friends, and the Christian community gathered in prayer and worship during the Requiem Mass, lifting Micheal’s soul to God with hymns, scripture readings, and thanksgiving for a life lived. The liturgy reflected hope beyond the grave, reminding all present that death is not the end, but a passage to eternal rest.

Though Kakooza Micheal has left this world, his memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved him. His journey on earth has ended, but his soul rests in the loving hands of the Lord.
