  • Wednesday, 22nd July 2026
    • 10:00 a.m. – A Funeral Service will be held at St. Luke’s Church of Uganda, Ntinda, Kampala.
    • Thereafter – The body will proceed to the family residence in Najjera I, Bulabira II, Mutumba Lane for an overnight vigil.

Journey to Kitgum District

  • Thursday, 23rd July 2026
    • 6:00 a.m. – Departure from Kampala to Kitgum District.

Kitgum Services & Vigil

  • Friday, 24th July 2026
    • 10:00 a.m. – A Funeral Service will take place at St. Janani Luwum Church of Uganda, Kitgum Town Parish.
    • Thereafter – The body will proceed to Gang Dyang for an overnight vigil.

Burial Service

  • Saturday, 25th July 2026
    • 10:00 a.m. – The Final Burial Service will be held at the family home in Lumule Village, Matidi Sub-county, Kitgum District, where Olanya Alfred will be laid to his eternal rest.

The family has arranged the following funeral program to honor the life and memory of Gambakaawe John:

Thursday, 16th July 2026

The body will repose at the Miles Funeral Services – Mbarara Office, where preparations for the final farewell will be made.

Friday, 17th July 2026

A church service will be held at 3:00 PM at Nyabitote Hiika, located next to Nyabitote Primary School in Nyabubare Sub-county. Family, friends, and well-wishers are warmly invited to attend the service in celebration of his life.

Thereafter, the body will be taken to the family home in Rugooma Cell, where an overnight vigil will be held. This gathering will provide an opportunity for loved ones to reflect on his life, offer words of comfort to the bereaved family, and stand together in prayer and remembrance.

Saturday, 18th July 2026

The burial service will take place at the family home in Rugooma Cell, where Gambakaawe John will be laid to rest with dignity, honor, and love in the presence of family, relatives, friends, and well-wishers.

Thereafter, burial will take place on Thursday, 16th July 2026, at 4:00 PM, at the family’s ancestral home in Ssempa Lukooge Village, Luwero District. Family, friends, and well-wishers are invited to attend the final farewell as Balambi Ruth is laid to rest with dignity, honor, and love.

  • Thereafter, at approximately 12:00 noon: The body will be transported to Nansana, where he had been residing, to allow relatives, friends, neighbors, and well-wishers to pay their final respects during a viewing.
  • After the viewing: The procession will continue to Kongoje, Nabulagala–Bbaka, Wakiso District, where a night vigil will be held as family and friends gather in prayer, remembrance, and celebration of his life.
  • Wednesday, 15th July 2026: The late KIKULWE FRED will be laid to rest at the family’s ancestral grounds in Kongoje, Nabulagala–Bbaka, Wakiso District.
